As our bereavement coordinator, Tom helps patients and families work through the grief and other emotional stress that can accompany end of life care. Bereavement care is an important part of hospice care that includes anticipating grief reactions and providing ongoing support for the bereaved over a period of 12 months after the patient passes. We understand that there’s no right or wrong way to grieve, and Tom is here to help families work through the process in whatever form that may take. Offering bereavement care is just one way hospice care tries to care for all the needs of a patient and their family.
